Vogueimprint Exclusive: Italian Haute Couturier Ettore Bilotta and Multi-Award Winning Photographer Norman Jean Roy Unveil New Etihad Airways Uniforms

Etihad Airways today revealed its much anticipated new uniforms at a spectacular show in Abu Dhabi, paving the way for a new age of glamorous and sophisticated flying. 

Created by Ettore Bilotta at his atelier in Milan, the new uniform exudes a classic elegance seldom seen in the aisles of modern airliners, and cleverly merges dramatic elements of old world haute couture from 1960s Paris and Rome, with the more contemporary fashions evident on the runways of London, New York, Milan and Tokyo.

The brief given to Bilotta by the airline was for a design which would represent timeless sophistication, glamour and elegance. The designer has succeeded in realising the airline’s aspiration to reimagine flying by creating clothing which captures the understated style and innovation of Etihad Airways.

“Scandal” star Kerry Washington is the June cover girl for Elle magazine, which has crowned her “the hottest woman on TV.” While the ABC political drama has made her a household name, her role in Quentin Tarantino’s Oscar-winning “Django Unchained” has people continuing to pay attention.

“I’m the luckiest broad in Hollywood now,” she told the mag. “To be the lead actor on ‘Scandal’ and to be in the highest-earning Tarantino movie — I don’t get to ask for more.” The 36-year-old will be in theaters again this weekend in director Tina Gordon Chism’s “Tyler Perry Presents: Peeples,” alongside “The Office’s” Craig Robinson and David Alan Grier. Washington dons designs by Giorgio Armani, Balmain, Tom Ford, Giambattista Valli and Marc Jacobs for the Elle spread and admits all the glitz and glam has been pretty nice, even the strenuous routine of getting red-carpet ready.

Manchester united manager Sir Alex Ferguson retires today after 26 year. Ferguson took over Manchester united in November 1986.

Ferguson is 71 years old and he is the most successful manager in British  football history. In his term Manchester united has won over 30 trophies which includes premier league, FA cup, champions league. 

Sir Alex: " I must pay tribute to my family, thier love and support". He made his announcement on twitter saying "this is the right time"
